Re: The Brave New World of Defense Obligations in California

In January 2010, the 6th District Court of Appeals ruled on the case of UDC v. CH2MHill. In this decision, the court held that CH2MHill had the duty to defend the owner even though the jury found no negligence on the part of CH2MHill. Our speaker, Mr. Ben Patrick, represented CH2MHill in this landmark case. He will discuss the impact of this decision and ways to protect the design profession going forward.
